Bachata lesson and dancing at Desoto Market. (No more Thursday night at this venue)
Every  second Saturday of the month there is an event called Bachata Addiction at Desoto.  There is a bachata lesson followed by social dancing. Night is very popular with about 20-50 people attending the lesson and about 200 people showing up for the social part of the night. The main part of the dance floor is tile which works great for spins and turns, and if it gets too crowded some people dance off the main dance floor, where the spins do not come very easy because the surface is not as smooth, but you will still have room to dance no matter how busy it gets.

Bachata lesson:
The bachata lesson starts at about 9 pm and it an hour beginner/intermediate lesson. It starts with basic footwork and as the lesson progresses the level becomes more intermediate. About 30 minutes of the lesson is dedicated to solo footwork and another half of the lesson is partner work. The lesson is taught by Brandom Odom an experienced bachata instructor.
In the video below there a practice of bachata pattern that was taught one night at Desoto. There is new bachata pattern every week.
